Following meetings at their respective offices in the morning, anti-reservation agitationists marched towards the Assembly and staged a protest before the BJP office throwing stones, tomatoes and eggs to vent their ire.

The agitationists protesting under the banner of Sarvjan Hitai Sanrakshan Samiti also raised slogans against Congress and BSP.

A report from Aligarh said anti-reservation stir gathered further momentum when the protesters observed "black day" by wearing black bands and keeping off work.

The protesters held a cycle rally and staged a protest at the Marris Road residence of former Chief Minister Kalyan Singh who is set to rejoin the Bhartiya Janata Party.

The protesting government employees targeted Singh's residence to vent their anger against the Bhartiya Janata Party for supporting the bill in the Rajya Sabha.

The protesters raised slogans against the BJP and later handed over a memorandum addressed to Kalyan Singh to his son Rajveer Singh who while accepting the memorandum, said that "Kalyan Singh can only respond to the protesters' demands addressed to the Bhartiya Janata Party leadership only after he formally joins the party".

The protesters also staged a protest at the Marris Road residence of the Secretary of the All India Congress Party, Vivek Bansal, MLC, and raised slogans against the Congress Party.
