"All the country is eyeing at the works done in UP. We have to do such a work in the state so that we can set an example for others. In the next five years, we have to take the state to new heights on the development front," Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav said while addressing the gathering organised on the occasion.
Yadav also inaugurated 22 Community health centres (CHC) and eight Primary Health Centres (PHC) constructed at the cost of Rs 67.43 crores in 18 districts.
He said that ambulances would be available to common man free of cost by dialling toll free number 108 within 20 minutes.
Congratulating Health and family welfare minister Ahmad Hasan on the occasion, Yadav said that such ambulances would be made available to all PHCs by the end of this year.
The chief minister also announced that by the end of this year a toll free number 102 would be started for pregnant women and 1000 ambulances would be made available for the purpose.
