Surendra Singh, who was designated as the election officer for women consumer co-operative committee polls, had demanded Rs 5,000 as bribe from winning candidate Rajkumar Singh for the election certificate, ACB unit head Niharika Sharma said.
Acting on the complaint of Rajkumar, ACB officials laid a trap and arrested Singh from his residence after he was caught red-handed taking the bribe.
Sharma said a case has been registered in this connection and efforts are to nab his absconding accomplices.
