UP govt to facilitate char dham yatra free of cost for poor

Uttar Pradesh government has decided to facilitate "char dham yatra" free of cost for the poor and undertake beautification work around famous Kashi Vishwanath temple in Varanasi.
Minister of State for Religious Endowment (Independent Charge) Vijay Kumar Misra in a review meeting said the government has decided to help the poor undertake 'char dham yatra' free of cost and it would start from March 9, next year.
The government has also decided to undertake the beautification and extension work of the Kashi Vishwanath temple in Varanasi, an official release quoting him said.
"Under this beautification work, the devotees visiting the temple would be provided facilities of international standard," he said.
"The lanes and by lanes leading to the temple would be beautified and the department would soon workout a plan for better arrangements in the temple and ensure its implementation," he said.
