"After natural calamity in Nepal, there was exodus of people, but there were also inputs of human trafficking as well," IG (Law and Order) A Satish Ganesh told reporters here.
He said that to review the situation, Principal Secretary (Home) Debashish Panda held video conferencing with the district magistrates, police chiefs, officers of Sashastra Seeema Bal (SSB) and other officers.
"The Principal Secretary directed that a strict vigil should be maintained at crossing points by installing CCTV cameras," the IG said.
Ganesh said that 35 anti-human trafficking units were operational in the state and they have been equipped with required resources.

He said it has been directed to maintain mutual cooperation between administration, police and intelligence agencies and active cooperation of social organisations should also be taken.
The IG said that to provide latest information to the agencies a state-wide training programmme would be organised and in this series, it has been decided to organise training programmes at zonal levels in Gorkahpur on June 22 and on June 29 in Lucknow.
