UP govt to launch special campaign to check power theft

Uttar Pradesh government will launch a two-phase special campaign next week to check power theft.
UP Chief Secretary Alok Rajan issued directives to administartive, police and power departments in this regard.
ADG (law and order) A Satish Ganesh said that in the first phase, a public awareness campaign will be carried out.
In the second phase, areas where power theft and line loss incidents are common will be identified and an action would be taken in the third phase.
Ganesh said that if involvement of departmental employees was detected then FIR would be lodged against them.
