UP Guv, CM pay tributes to Subhash Chandra Bose on his birth

Rich tributes were paid to Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose on his 121st birth anniversary at a programme here today, which was attended by Governor Ram Naik and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.
On the occasion, Governor Ram Naik said, "Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose had a unique organisational ability, on the basis of which he had formed the Azad Hind Fauj."
"He gave the clarion call of 'You give me blood, I will give you freedom', and it was not confined only to a mere slogan. Subhash Chandra Bose is remembered as a top leader, who freed the country from foreign rule," the Governor said.
Naik said, "Netaji had cleared the ICS examination, but he was not willing to serve the British. It was for this reason that he left his ICS job, and opted the struggle route."
UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said, "The important role played (in freedom movement) and the sacrifice made by Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose will always inspire us. Netaji was of the view that freedom will not be achieved by begging, but through bravery and struggle of our revolutionaries."
"The flame of independence, which was lit by him and the clarion call of 'Dilli Chalo', shook the foundation of the British rule in India. His slogan 'You give me blood, I will give you freedom' still inspires us." He said.
UP Legislative, Justice, Conventional Energy Sources and Political Pension minister Brijesh Pathak and Lucknow Mayor Sanyukta Bhatia were also present at the programme, a statement issued by the state government said.
