Uttar Pradesh Governor Ram Naik today expressed concern over law and order situation in the state, saying the government should work to improve it.
Talking to reporters on the sidelines of convocation of Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel Agriculture University, Naik said he sends a monthly report to the President regarding the law and order situation in the state under his constitutional responsibilities.
In response to a question posed by mediapersons, he said the chief minister should take a note of his ministers' remarks.
UP Minister Azam Khan had recently written a four-page letter to Naik in which he had accused the Governor of having a "continued negative" approach against him and making "politically motivated" statements on the vexed Ayodhya issue.
Terming Azam Khan's letter as "inappropriate", Naik had said he would respond to the minister's allegations through Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav.
