The delegation, comprising some senior journalists, met Yadav at the party headquarters, protesting attack on the senior journalist, Hemant Tiwari, on June 7 night.
Tiwari, a freelance journalist, was attacked by some persons barely a few metres away from the DGP office while he was returning to his residence in a car on June 7 night.
The attackers, armed with sticks and rods, also damaged his car. They even attempted to crush a policeman when he tried to stop their vehicle.
The delegation also submitted a memorandum to Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav in this regard.
