As soon as the House assembled, Leader of Opposition and BSP member Swami Prasad Maurya demanded immediate taking up of law and order situation, relaxing all rules.
In the meantime, BJP and Rashtriya Lokdal members trooped into the well of the House carrying placards with anti-government slogans written on them.
As the BSP members staged a walkout when their demand was not met, BJP sat on dharna in the well of the House while Parliamentary Affairs Minister Azam Khan charged opposition parties saying "they have noting to do.. They are just wasting the time of the house".
Speaker Mata Prasad Pandey repeatedly asked the members to take their seats and restore order but to no avail leading to the adjournment of the House for 20 minutes in two phases.
