UP Legislative Council adjourned after opposition uproar

Opposition parties, including BSP and Congress, today created an uproar in Uttar Pradesh Vidhan Parishad over the rising cases of swine flu and law and order situation, forcing its adjournment for the day.
As the house met for the day, Leader of Opposition in the legislative council Naseemudin Siddiqui raised the issue of law and order and alleged that the situation was very bad in the state.
In the meantime, Congress and RLD members wearing mask stormed into the Well raising the issue of swine flu.
Chairman Ganesh Shanker Pandey asked the members to take their seat, but as the din continued, he adjourned the House for half an hour, which was later extended for another half an hour.
When the House reassembled at noon, Congress and RLD members once again stormed into the Well and the House was again adjourned for some time.
The opposition continued their uproar when the house met for the third time with BJP's Hriday Narain Dixit raising objection over repeated interruptions (by other parties).

Dixit said, issues related to public interest should be heard on priority basis.
Leader of the House Ahmad Hasan accused the opposition of creating uproar and said the government wanted to listen the issues and cooperate.
Meanwhile, shouting slogans BSP members once again stormed the Well following which the Chairman read the agenda amidst din and adjourned the House for the day.
The Council will now meet on February 24.
