UP remains dry, Allahabad hottest at 47.3 deg

Heat wave conditions continued at isolated places in Uttar Pradesh as weather remained dry in the state today.
Allahabad was the hottest place recording a maximum temperature of 47.3 degree Celsius.
MeT office said that day temperatures rose in Gorakhpur, Varanasi, Faizabad, Bareilly divisions and changed little in the remaining divisions in the state.
They were markedly above normal in Allahabad division, appreciably above normal in Varanasi, Faizabad, Kanpur, Lucknow, Bareilly, Jhansi, Agra divisions, and above normal in the remaining divisions of the state.
The MeT has forecast that weather would remain dry and heat wave conditions will continue at isolated places in the state in the next two days.

Duststorm/thunderstorm will occur at isolated places in the state, it said.
