SP supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav today slammed "attempts" to bring bad name to his party's government in Uttar Pradesh, claiming that law and order situation there was far better than in cities like Delhi and Mumbai.
Mulayam, while addressing party workers here, said several development initiatives taken by the state government are being emulated by other states.
He said the law and order in UP was "completely under control" and those spreading canards against SP won't take names of Delhi and Mumbai, where the crime rate was comparatively much higher.
Mulayam termed the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections as a big challenge, claiming that all eyes would be on SP as neither Congress nor the BJP would form the next government and the third front would come to the power.
It will be possible only when SP emerges as the biggest power in the state, the SP supremo noted.
