A draft in this regard will be placed before the state cabinet soon, UP Panchayati Raj Minister Kailash Yadav told PTI today.
He said has asked Union Panchayati Raj Ministry to provide Rs 660 crore for the upliftment of the rest 36 district panchayats of UP.
Yadav hoped that the Bill in this regard is passed and result in quality transparent work which will ensure upliftment of rural people.
Earlier, the Uttar Pradesh government had returned Rs 544.82 crore to the Centre from the Backward Region Grant Funds (BRGF) scheme due to lack of technical staff at panchayat level.
