"Congress has failed to perform on all fronts and just added to the woes of the common man. Inflation, hike in petrol prices, diesel hike and cut in LPG subsidy are few things that have made life tough for the 'aam aadmi'," he said.
He charged Congress with adopting stepmotherly attitude towards Punjab "be it for sanctioning development grants, granting package for farmers or providing special economic packages."
He applauded the efforts of Punjab chief minister Parkash Singh Badal, and said it was the hard work and efforts of the Chief Minister that people showed faith in SAD-BJP yet again.
Appealing to the people to vote for NDA in the next Lok Sabha polls, MP Rattan Singh Ajnala said, "Punjab is a gifted state as it has hard working people. But unfortunately, Punjabis are ignored repeatedly by Congress that has ruled the nation for years."
