Addressing the Jharkhand Assembly for the first time after the ninth government was formed on July 13, the Governor said the priority of the UPA government in the state was to ensure social justice and harmony and putting development on the fast track.
"I believe my government will fulfil the people's aspiration and expectations," he said, a week after the Hemant Soren-led UPA government won the floor test.
Social harmony and a feeling of security by each individual would lead to rapid progress, Ahmed contended.
He underlined various schemes for SC/ST, dalits, the exploited sections, backward and minority people while committing to pay attention to all the sections of the people.
