A day after Parliament witnessed unprecedented pandemonium over the Telangana bill, BJP leader and Goa Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar today said the UPA government was in a hurry to table the bill only for wooing the voters.
"Congress is trying to get political mileage out of that bill," Parrikar said, talking to reporters.
"BJP supports Telangana Bill but it should not be at the cost of dividing people. UPA government could have very well waited for Lok Sabha polls to conclude. Why so much hurry?" he asked.
The bill in its current form had several loopholes, he added.
