He also said that elections for eleven municipal councils in the state would be held on November 1 as the tenure of all these councils are getting over on November 11, 2015.
"The upcoming municipal elections will not be fought on the party lines," Parsekar said here after the state cabinet meeting.
"When elections to municipalities are fought on the party line, some of the workers who don't get ticket feel that they could have won, had they been given candidature," he added.
"What lessons are you talking about? The media has been publishing headlines that BJP was washed out in the ZP polls. But the fact remains that both the ZPs have BJP members as its chief," Parsekar said.
The Chief Minister said the delimitation of wards would be done as there is uneven voting population across the state.
