The Delhi government's public works department has directed officials concerned to upload details of government houses on its website, an official has said.
The move came after the department found out that a number of government houses were not being allotted due to non-availability of centralised data in the city.
The decision was taken at a recently held meeting chaired by the engineer-in-chief.
"Directions were issued to all officials concerned to upload details of government houses on the PWD's website. Officials have been asked that regular and effective updation is required," the official said.
The PWD constructs government flats and maintain them in the national capital. It also has the responsibility of allocating houses to entitled officials and officers of the Delhi government.
