Upsurge in demand lifts refined soya oil futures by 0.44%
Press Trust of India New Delhi Amid pick-up in domestic demand at spot market and restricted supplies from producing regions, refined soya oil prices went up by 0.44 per cent to Rs 688 per 10 kg in futures trade today as participants built up fresh positions.
At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, refined soya oil for delivery in December month rose by Rs 3, or 0.44 per cent to Rs 688 per 10 kg with an open interest of 31,690 lots.
Similarly, the oil for delivery in November traded higher by Rs 2.35, or 0.35 per cent, to Rs 678.10 per 10 kg in 31,990 lots.
Analysts said fresh positions created by traders following pick-up in demand in the physical market against restricted supplies from growing regions mainly led an upward trend in refined soya oil prices at futures trade.
