At the Multi Commodity Exchange, mentha oil for delivery in April rose by Rs 4.30, or 0.44 per cent, to Rs 982.40 per kg in business turnover of 92 lots.
On similar lines, the oil for delivery in May contracts gained Rs 3.70, or 0.38 per cent, to Rs 989 per kg in 1 lot.
Analysts said fresh positions created by traders due to uptick in demand from consuming industries in the spot market against tight stocks due to fall in arrivals from Chandausi led to the rise in mentha oil prices in futures trade.
