Refined soya oil prices rose by 0.45 per cent to Rs 658.65 per 10 kg in futures trading today as participants created fresh positions following pick up in demand in the spot market.
At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, refined soya oil for delivery in March month went up by Rs 2.95, or 0.45 per cent, to Rs 658.65 per 10 kg with an open interest of 56,820 lots.
Similarly, the oil for delivery in April contracts gained Rs 2.65, or 0.41 per cent, to Rs 650.25 per 10 kg in 30,050 lots.
Building up of fresh positions by traders due to pick up in demand in the spot market against tight stock position on fall in supplies from producing belts, mainly led to the rise in refined soya oil prices at futures trade, analysts said.
