Traders said fresh buying by stockists following pick up in demand against tight supplies from producing belts, mainly pushed up urad and its dal prices.
In the national capital, urad and its dal chilka local moved up by Rs 100 each to Rs 6,150-7,150 and Rs 7,500-7,700 per quintal, respectively. Urad dal best quality and dhoya followed suit and went higher by a similar margin to Rs 7,700-8,300 and Rs 8,100-8,500 per quintal, respectively.
