Traders said increased buying by stockists on the back of rising demand against restricted supplies from producing regions mainly led to rise in urad and arhar prices.
In the national capital, urad and its dal chilka local advanced by Rs 50 each to Rs 4,500-4,900 and Rs 5,650-5,850, while its dal best quality and dhoya enquired higher by similar margin to Rs 5,900-6,500 and Rs 6,150-6,550 per quintal, respectively.
Arhar and its dal dara variety prices also moved up by Rs 100 each to Rs 4,350-4,450 and Rs 5,900-6,100 per quintal, respectively.
