Marketmen said besides increased demand, restricted arrivals from producing regions mainly led to rise in urad and its dal prices.
In the national capital, urad and its dal chilka local rose by Rs 200 each to Rs 5,300-5,800 and Rs 6,500-6,700 per quintal, respectively. Its dal best quality and dhoya also traded higher by the same margin to Rs 6,750-7,350 and 7,000- 7,400 per quintal, respectively.
