Urad, moong drift on ample supply

Prices of urad and moong fell up to Rs 100 per quintal at the wholesale pulses market today following ample supplies from producing regions against sluggish demand.
Marketmen said adequate stocks position on higher supplies from producing belts against subdued demand mainly kept pressure on urad and moong prices.
In the national capital, urad and its dal chilka local were down by Rs 100 each to Rs 7,800-8,200 and Rs 8,600-8,800 per quintal respectively. Urad dal best quality and dhoya traded lower by a similar margin to Rs 8,800-9,400 and Rs 9,200-9,500 per quintal.
Moong and its dal chilka local also traded Rs 50 each lower at Rs 6,650-7,350 and Rs 7,450-7,950 per quintal. Its dal dhoya local and best quality enquired lower by a similar margin to Rs 7,450-7,750 and Rs 8,250-8,350 per quintal.
