Traders said stockists buying on the back of pick up in demand from retailers helped urad and moong prices to rise.
However, adequate stocks position amid government measures to check rising prices, kept pressure on other pulses, traders said.
In the national capital, urad and its dal chilka local found fresh buying support and recovered by Rs 400 each to Rs 9,300-10,700 and Rs 9,500-9,600 per quintal, respectively.
Moong and its dal chilka local also rose by Rs 100 each to Rs 5,200-5,700 and Rs 5,750-6,150 per quintal respectively. Its dal dhoya local and best quality rose by a similar margin to trade at Rs 6,150-6,650 and Rs 6,650-6,850 per quintal.

On the other hand, gram, gramdal local and best quality remained weak and shed another Rs 100 each to Rs 7,900-8,100, Rs 8,300-8,500 and Rs 8,600-8,700 per quintal, respectively.
Kabli gram small variety fell by Rs 200 to Rs 9,700-10,100 per quintal.
Arhar and its dal dara variety moved down by Rs 100 each to Rs 7,600 and Rs 10,400-12,100 per quintal, respectively.
