Verma will be participating in a session on 'Promoting India - US Partnership in Business & Industry', being organised by the CII at Jalandhar during his upcoming visit to Punjab under the US Embassy's outreach programme and will also interact with the members of CII Punjab State Council, the industry body said in a release here.
Through the CII session with the key industry representatives from Punjab, Verma will elaborate on the key strengths of the US and the potential areas in which the tie ups, partnerships and Joint Ventures (JVs) can be entered into between the industry from Punjab and their counterparts in US.
Verma will try to portray the US as an ideal investment hub and encourage the regional industry to expand their businesses in the US.
"He (Verma) will be assisted and accompanied by Paul Frost and Robyn Kessler, senior officers from the US Embassy, who will showcase their best practices, the ease of doing business in US and the key advantages of setting up business units or expanding business in US," said Pikender Pal Singh, Regional Director, CII NR.

"CII is also organising a special plenary on Indo - US Partnership in travel, tourism & education as part of the session to open the avenues of partnerships between Punjab and the US in these critical fields", added Singh.
Another key highlight of the session would be a detailed presentation giving insights on the US Visa Procedures for business, study or work purposes by Ashok Kaul from Visa section, US Embassy Officer.
