SHO of Kavi Nagar Police station Virender Yadav has confirmed that US embassy has asked them to provide it with reports of post mortem and viscera with regard to the death of American senior citizen Arma Graham.
"An employee of American embassy reached Kavinagar police station around five days ago and asked for such details. After this, we have started searching our records and also sent a constable to Agra forensic lab for taking Gram's viscera report from there," SHO told PTI.
Arma Graham had come to India on tourist visa in May 2010. She had died of chest pain on July 27, 2010 during her stay in Govindpuram area of Ghaziabad, police said.
As the death reason had not been cleared, her viscera was preserved in Agra forensic laboratory, they added.
US embassy's move has come at a time when the arrest of Deputy Consul General Devyani Khobragade, a 1999-batch IFS officer, in a street in New York over visa fraud charges has become the hot issue between America and India.
