No financial details of the deal were disclosed.
In 2010, HCL Tech had signed a multi-year deal with Purdue to manage two data centres and all remote locations of the client in the US.
"Under the terms of new agreement, HCL will expand collaboration with Purdue on their ongoing companywide IT and infrastructure management undertaking. This will include extended support on existing projects such as data centre management," HCL Tech said in a statement.
It will also include new assignments like virtualisation, backup transformation and future product rollouts, it added.

HCL will enable establishment and adoption of new systems and technologies by providing unified service aggregation and management across their servers, network, messaging, database, storage and backup.
The Noida-headquartered firm will also render service desk and remote desktop services for all US offices of Purdue from its North Carolina-based delivery centre.
