"We anticipated an investment of RS 10,000 crore, which would create 40,000 new employment opportunities in the State as a result of the US and Canada visit," Khattar told PTI in an email statement after concluding his 10-day trip to North America.
Expressing satisfaction over the successful outcome of the visit and number of meetings with business tycoons and leading multi nationals in USA and Canada, he said that many foreign investors had evinced keen interest in investing in Haryana in sectors such as infrastructure, housing, IT, education, Medicare and healthcare.
"It will also lend its shoulders to the wheel being pushed by various departments of the state government to optimize their sites for mobile platforms," he added.
"I see big investments coming which will put the state in higher growth orbit and generate huge employment opportunities. What's more, skilling Haryana has got a shot in the arm," Khattar said.
