During the discussion, Singh apprised Kagan of the state's potential in various sectors for investment citing the availability of abundant mineral resources, better road and rail connectivity, an official here said.
The Chief Minister assured to extend every possible support to those who are looking for the investment in the state, he added.
Asserting that his government's topmost priority is to ensure basic infrastructure facilities to people and connect every nook and corner of the state with road and rail routes, Singh informed that all the national highways passing through the state are being converted to six lanes while expansion of rail network is being done through rail corridor.
Strong steps are being taken to eliminate the menace of Naxalism in the state. The way states northern region Surguja was made free from the menace, it will soon be flushed out from Bastar (states southern region) too, the official quoted Singh as saying during the discussion.

Meanwhile, the chief minister also informed about his several initiatives and schemes, including food security Act and Bastar net project, he said.
During his visit to Raipur, the US consul general also visited the countrys first 'One stop centre' to help women who have been victims of various kind of violence, the official said.
As per the official, Kagan further said such institutions play a crucial role in creating a fear-free environment and ensure justice to women as it providesmedical consultation, legal advice, psychological counselling and other suggestions to them.
