US dollar ends sharply cheaper against the rupee

The US dollar ended sharply cheaper against the rupee at 56.44/45 per dollar and the Pound Sterling also finished lower at Rs 86.35/37 per pound at the close of the Interbank Foreign Exchange Market (Forex) today.
