"The pilot appears to have escaped with very minor injury and has left the scene by helicopter," Lincolnshire Police said.
A force spokesman said they were alerted by members of the public about the F-15D coming down near Broadgate in Weston Hills yesterday.
He added: "The plane has come down in an isolated rural area and no premises have been affected.
"A cordon has been put in place and the public are advised to avoid the area as the plane is alight and the fumes may be hazardous."
"One person was on board the aircraft at the time and ejected safely. A board of qualified officers will investigate the accident."
The crash is the second this year for US military aircraft based in the region. A US HH-60G Pave Hawk helicopter crashed killing all four on-board.
