Iowa Governor Terry E Branstad yesterday announced to lead the business delegation to India.
The week-long trade mission will visit New Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai and Hyderabad.
"India's economy has transformed in the last couple of decades and is predicted to be one of the world's largest economies in coming years," Branstad said during a web conferencing on opportunities and challenges in entering the Indian market.
The conference also featured US Ambassador to India Nancy J Powell, who happens to be a native of Cedar Falls in Iowa.

The trade mission is being organised by the Iowa Economic Development Authority (IEDA), with support from various bodies including the US Department of Commerce's Commercial Service and the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII).
While the itinerary is still being developed, Branstad is also scheduled to meet with business leaders who have expressed an interest in establishing an Iowa location and representatives from existing industry, an official statement said.
Prior to joining the mission in Mumbai, Branstad will make a brief stop in New Delhi to attend a luncheon hosted by the US Embassy, it said.
