Ana Trujillo was convicted yesterday for the brutal murder of her boyfriend and now faces up to life in prison for the incident that took place in June last year.
Trujillo showed little emotion as the verdict was announced, CNN reported.
Prosecutors said Trujillo slashed 59-year-old Alf Stefan Andersson with the sharp five and a half-inch heel at least 25 times until he bled to death in his Houston home.
Trujillo had argued that the stabbing was in self defense after Andersson, a University of Houston professor and researcher, attacked her after a night of drinking.

Prosecutors said the couple began arguing when during their violent confrontation Andersson became injured and fell on his back.
It was then Trujillo allegedly sat on him, pinning him to the floor, as she repeatedly struck him in the face with her spiked heel.
According to CNN affiliate KTRK, when police arrived at Andersson's apartment, Trujillo, who had recently worked as a massage therapist, answered the door with blood on her clothes and hands.
