Entire order amount of all orders with unique coupon code 'Lightup' will be donated to orphans with HIV

In the crowded e-commerce space coupon codes are rampantly used to get discounts but in a novel initiative, Faasos -- an online food technology company -- is asking its customers to use coupon code which will be used for charity.

Faasos has said between November 10 and December 10, 2015, the entire order amount of all the orders with unique coupon code 'Lightup' will be donated toward bringing smile to the orphans afflicted with HIV.

"Faasos is reviving the charitable spirit of the season with special Diwali coupon code LIGHTUP. All a customer has to do is place their order using this code and Faasos will donate the entire order's amount to the Desire Organization," a company statement said.

An equivalent amount will also be contributed by InnoVen Capital, India's first and largest Venture Debt provider, who has also invested in Faasos.

The company estimates at least Rs 5 lakh will be raised through this initiative and the amount will help bringing smile among some 200 unprivileged kids in the festive month.
