Technology has made the authentication process easier in delivering services to customers digitally but a lot still needs to be done, financial services firm Kaleidofin co-founder Sucharita Mukherjee said today.
"It has been pretty transformational, earlier the whole business of authenticating was very-very inefficient. Aadhaar indeed has made a very big difference because today when we are delivering financial services through personalising each customer.. we can do e-KYC and sign contracts completely digitally without the movement or any sort of paper because the legal framework allows that," Mukherjee said.
She was speaking at a panel discussion on 'Making Markets Work for the Poor' organised by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation here today.
She also stressed on making financial products based on pro-poor model so that the benefits reach the lower rung of the people.
There are only a few people who are actually adaptable to technology, she added.
Kaleidofin partners with financial service providers across credit, insurance, savings and investments.
