Addressing police officers here, Inspector General of Police (Bokaro), Murarilal Meena, asked investigating officers to give importance on scientific methods during investigations so that cases could culminate in convictions of the guilty.
Avoiding scientific methods, he added, had resulted in acquittals by the courts on the ground of "lack of evidence" as investigation officers failed to prove their points in the past.
Pointing out that cell phone-carrying naxalites could be arrested by tracking mobile network, he said the police could use finger prints, foot prints, DNA finger print introduction and digital evidence to produce a foolproof evidence list against a guilty.
