USIBC delegation evinces interest in investing in Telangana

A delegation of the US-India Business Council has expressed interest to invest in Telangana, especially in the pharma, healthcare, IT and infra sectors, when it called upon state IT and Panchayat Raj Minister K T Rama Rao here today.
The delegation was led by the US-India Business Council's (USIBC) executive vice-president Diane Farrell, a government release said.
The visiting team appreciated government's initiatives in the last 10 months, it said.
"The minister explained state's efficient and innovative industrial policy (and)...Especially made a reference to Right to Clearance under the historic TSiPASS single-window clearance system where any investor can get all clearances in a stipulated time of 15 days," the release said.
It added that the minister also explained the merits of Hyderabad city for investments into various sectors.
"Telangana government's thrust areas would be aerospace, pharma fields apart from ITEC industry and the government is keen on to making the state a world-class investment destination," the release quoted Rama Rao as saying.
The minister also explained a few initiatives by the government in IT industry like T-hub, game city and TASK.
"Diane Farrell informed the minister that it is looking forward for the long-term association with Telangna state," the release said.
