The draft of Land Consolidation Bill was submitted to the Chief Minister by the state Land Holding Committee here today.
The government would take initiative to make people aware about land consolidation and seek their suggestions for three months before sending the draft Bill to the Assembly.
Along with making laws, efforts are also being made to get public consent for amalgamation of farm lands and make sure that nobody faces any kind of disadvantageous situation, Rawat said.
State Agriculture Minister Harak Singh said that at primary stage, 200 villages have been identified to spread awareness about land consolidation.
