Uzbek national held at Indo-Nepal border

An Uzbek national has been arrested while allegedly trying to cross over to Nepal without visa papers in Sonauli area on the India-Nepal border, officials said.
Dilrabo (34), from Tashkent in Uzbekistan, was on his way to Nepal from Chandigarh when he was arrested by the Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) yesterday, officials said.
The SSB personnel found his Uzbekistan passport but no Indian visa papers, SSB Commandant Shiv Dayal said.
Sonauli is located on the India-Nepal border and is a well known transit point between the two countries.
A case has been registered and the Intelligence agencies have been informed about the matter, Dayal said.
