After being allegedly robbed, a 28-year-old Uzbek woman had to run from pillar to post to get her complaint registered as her application was written in English.
However, later, her complaint was registered at Indirapuram police station only after the intervention of SSP Dharmender Singh.
Anistesia, the victim, was robbed by two-bike borne miscreants near Aditya Mall in Indirapuram area last night when she had gone to a mobile repairing shop, police said.
The accused waylaid her and snatched her purse, consisting of her passport, USD 100, Rs 5,000, an expansive phone and her flat's keys and fled from the spot, they said.
After the incident, she hastily rushed to nearby police station to get her complaint registered, but her complaint written in English was turned down by the police personnel.
However, when the matter was brought to the notice of the SSP today, he directed the officials concerned to get the complaint translated into Hindi and registered an FIR in this regard.
