Bhaigaih (65), has been serving as the Akhil Bharatiya Bhauddik Pramukh of RSS for the last five years and was appointed yesterday at the valedictory of its three-day national Akhil Bharatiya Pratinidhi Sabha (ABPS) meeting held at Nagpur.
The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) unanimously re- elected Suresh Bhaiyyaji Joshi as its General Secretary, the second-in-command of the influential right-wing outfit, for a third successive term.
Joshi, 67, known for his organisational skills and astute planning, was elected 'Sarkaryavah' for a fresh three-year term by the delegates attending the Akhil Bhartiya Pratinidhi Sabha, the apex policy and decision-making body of RSS.
Bhaigaih will take over as the fourth joint general secretary after RSS announced in March last year the exit of its Sah Sarkaryavah (joint general secretary) K C Kannan (52) for personal and health reasons. Kannan had became one of the four Sah Sarkaryavahs in 2012.
