Vaishanavite scholar passes away

Vaishnavite scholar and the Founder Principal of Assam Satra Mahasabha Jagannath Mahanta died of heart attack today at AIIMS in the National Capital.
According to a senior official of Mahasabha, Mahanta was in New Delhi for some work when he had a heart attack this morning.
The 76-year scholar was admitted to a nursing home but later shifted to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences.
Mahanta, who was the 'Satradhikar' of 'Jaji Jayabari Satra', left behind his wife, two sons and a daughter.
He was also the Head of Assamese Department in Jaji Hemnath Sharma College.
