The exercise will validate and showcase the integration of modern force multipliers, including the Air Force, aerial surveillance platforms and networked data transfer systems, a defence spokesman said here today.
The exercise includes movement of formations to the tactical battle area and launching an offensive.
Troops from Infantry, Armoured, Artillery, Air Defence, Special Forces, Engineers, Signals and also logistics units are participating in this exercise.
Vajra Corps, the defenders of Punjab, was raised at Ambala on March one, 1950 and moved to Jalandhar in 1951.
The Corps proved its mettle during the famous battles of Dograi and Khemkaran.
Vajra Corps has transformed into a modern war machine, through a series of exercises over the year.
On the Western front, as part of the annual formation level training, the Corps is presently conducting this exercise, the spokesman said.

UAVs and Surveillance and Target Acquisition resources as also all battle components are seamlessly integrated towards a cohesive offensive during the exercise.
It involves the capability to mobilise fast and hit hard with self contained and highly mobile combat forces, in obstacle ridden terrain.
The exercise would also see unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) attack helicopters and front line fighter aircraft carrying out
battle drills in synergy with the Army.
Moreover the Vajra Corps is ensuring that the agriculture assets of farmers are given adequate safety attention by a special organisation set up for the purpose, the spokesman added.
