Valedictory of diamond jubilee celebrations of Coir board

The three-day valedictory function of the Diamond Jubilee Celebrations of the Coir board will be held at Alappuzha from May 25.
While Chief Minister Oommen Chandy, will inaugurate the International Coir museum on May 26, 'Coir Darshan' will be opened by state Home Minister, Ramesh Chennithala on May 25.
A postal stamp will be released as part of the occasion, Coir Board Chairman, G Balachandran, told reporters here.
The Coir Incubation centre will be inaugurated on May 21 by the chairman.
A meeting of coconut farmers and entrepreneurs will be held on May 26 in which Coconut board chairman T K Jose will deliver the keynote address.

A meeting of investors, keen to invest in the coir sector, will be held on May 27 in which various technologies developed by the coir board will be exchanged, an exhibition of new products by the board, seminars, discussions and open house will be held with officials of Cochin Port, Vallarpadam DP World, Customs, will also be held.
Former President, A P J Abdul Kalam will participate in the valedictory function on May 27.
