"The initiative is based on a theme of importance of voting, and includes the date of voting, time factor, duty of voters and rights of voters," district Collector and Returning Officer Vikrant Pandey said today.
The campaign titled 'Matdar Jagruti Abhiyan' is being run with the cooperation of postal department.
"As eleven lakh postcards cannot be purchased from one post office, the postal department has contacted Hyderabad, Jaipur, Delhi and Nashik postal departments for the procurement of postcards," Pandey told PTI.
The special drive will cover districts, talukas and villages, he said.

"Lakhs of post-cards are already written with decorative drawing and artistic colours combination," Pandey claimed.
He said the Limca Book of Records was already contacted in this regard. "A previous record of writing highest number of postcards -- 15,095 -- is in the name of one Ramagundam from Andhra Pradesh. We are sure that we will break the earlier record," Pandey said.
Special caps and T-shirts are also provided to the postal staff, who are involved in this historical task, he added.
