Vani eyes a hat-trick at Clover Greens

After a clinical show in the last event, Vani Kapoor will look to keep the momentum going when she tees off at the 9th Leg of the Hero Women's Professional Golf Tour at Clover Greens starting here tomorrow.
The Rs 6,00,000 event featuring 13 professionals will culminate on June 24th and Vani, who is currently leading the Hero Order of Merit by a slender margin, will aim to consolidate her position atop the list.
With four wins in five appearances, and total earnings of Rs 5,72,200, she is in stellar form, and will be aiming for a hat-trick at Clover. She will, however, face stiff opposition from the likes of Neha Tripathi, Gursimar Badwal and Amandeep Drall.
Neha is currently placed second in the Hero Order of Merit with total earnings of Rs 5,71,433, with two wins in eight appearances, and will be eager to regain the top position.
Kapurthala's Gursimar, who claimed her maiden professional title this season, is placed third in the money list with total earnings of Rs 5,40,200, and will be a force to reckon with.
Panchkula's Amandeep, who is also the defending champion here, has played some consistent golf since last year and a half and will try to maintain her good form. She is placed fifth in the Hero Order of Merit with total earnings of Rs 4,29,534 in five appearances. Her lone win came at Oxford, and she will be keen to return to winning ways.
Other players in the fray are Chandigarh's Saaniya Sharma, Delhi's Mehar Atwal and Pune's Shweta Galande.
The picturesque par 71 Clover Greens Golf Course is all set to play host to some of the finest professional women golfers in the country.
