Vani wins second consecutive title on Women tour

Delhi golfer Vani Kapoor won her second title on the trot after returning a second successive card of one over 73 in the third and final round of the Hero Women's Professional Golf Tour event, here today.
Vani aggregated 214 (68; 73; 73) to win the 13th and penultimate leg of the tournament. Her round today consisted of two birdies on the 6th and 11th holes along with three bogeys on the 7th, 10th and 14th holes.
Sharmila Nicollet shot a hole-in-one on the 8th to finish the event as the runner's up, ending four shots behind Vani.
Sharmila had a mixed day with some exciting as well as depressing moments. She finished the final round with a total score of 218 (67; 76; 75). Her round today included a hole-in-one on the 8th hole, three double bogeys on the 3rd, 14th and 17th holes, two bogeys on the 4th and 7th holes and three birdies on the 9th, 13th and 18th holes.
Kolkata golfer Neha Tripathi, inspite of carding the day's best round of three under 69, finished third with a total of 222 (78; 75; 69).
Her round today consisted of five birdies on the 1st, 4th, 11th, 16th and 17th holes and two bogeys on the 12th and 15th holes. Amateur golfer Millie Saroha finished with a total score 223 (70; 76; 77).
Chandigarh's Saaniya Sharma (72; 81; 76) and Benglauru's Rani Sonti (75; 78; 76) were tied for the fourth place with identical scores of 229 after 54 holes.
Rookie Pune golfer Shweta Galande (78; 81; 79) and Chandigarh's Preetinder Kaur (81; 77; 80) finished tied sixth with identical scores of 238.
